A bid is binding. When you press "Bid", you make a legally binding offer. A bid cannot be withdrawn. If you have made an obvious mistake, contact support straight away. We look at each case individually.
Bid increment. The minimum increment rises with the lot price. The next minimum is always shown under the input field.
Automatic bidder. Enter your maximum and the system will bid for you in minimum increments, only as much as needed to keep you in the lead. Neither other bidders nor the seller can see your maximum.
Auction extension. If a bid comes in during the last 3 minutes before the end, the auction end time is automatically extended by 3 minutes. There is no limit on the number of extensions, so the auction ends when the bidding stops.
Reserve price. Some lots have a reserve price, the lowest price the seller is willing to accept. The exact amount is not disclosed; you only see whether it has been met. If the reserve is not met, the lot is not sold.
Total. Before you bid, you see the hammer price, buyer's commission, VAT and delivery. The amount does not change after you win.
Unpaid lots. If the winner does not pay for the lot by the deadline, the order is cancelled. We may offer the lot to the next bidder or put it back on sale, and a relisting fee applies. Repeated non-payment leads to account restrictions.
Fair bidding. You must not bid on your own lot, ask others to do so, use multiple accounts or otherwise artificially influence the price. Such accounts are blocked and their bids cancelled.
If there is an error in the auction. If a technical error or an obviously wrong price is found in a lot, we may cancel the auction. In that case the amount paid is refunded in full.
